- This course prepares police officers or homeowners alike in how to protect themselves in darkness or reduced light circumstances.

- Pistol or revolver with three magazines or speedloaders/speed strips, holster and at least one magazine pouch
- 250 rounds of ammunition
- A modern handheld flashlight with a tailcap switch or push button mounted on flashlight body (no “twist” to turn on types)
- Weapon mounted light (if owned)
- Range appropriate clothing
