This two day course is designed to help new / mid level shooters to learn and understand the fundamentals of modern pistol craft and defensive shooting. The class will progress at the rate of the student and will run a minimum of 8 hrs each day. Shooters should wear range appropriate clothing for the weather (outdoor range) and bring drinks and snacks with them. There will be a short lunch break given each day. Shooters will receive plenty of one-on-one help and troubleshooting of problems they are having. The environment will be a relaxed and fun learning experience.
Some of the skills taught in the class: Modern grip, drawstroke, retention, shooting from retention, sight alignment during drawstroke, trigger management, recoil mitigation, precision shooting, multi-target engagement, flow drill to include ready and carry positions, coming on line, creating lateral distance, malfunction drills, and reloads.
Equipment needed: Eye protection, Hearing protection (plugs or muffs), Baseball cap, Handgun with three magazines, holster, 500 rounds of ammunition, belt, magazine pouch
